Michael Tzoanos founded Efficient Software Solutions in 2004 and has served as its President and principal architect since day one. With over 25 years of hands-on experience as a developer and systems architect, Michael has spent his career mastering the art of building software that solves complex, real-world problems.
His deep technical background is rooted in the evolution of modern enterprise computing. Michael specializes in designing data-driven web applications and object-oriented libraries, with an extensive track record across the entire Microsoft ecosystem - from early Visual Basic, COM+, and modern .NET Frameworks, to complex ASP.NET and MVC applications. He bridges the gap between legacy reliability and modern cloud-era architecture.
Most recently, Michael has brought his expertise to mission-critical public infrastructure, serving as the lead developer and subcontractor for major initiatives within the Philadelphia Water Department. His notable projects include PlanIT for the GSI Implementation Planning Group and the Delaware Valley Early Warning System (EWS) for the Source Water Protection Program. Under his technical leadership, the EWS was honored with the prestigious Pennsylvania Governor's Award for Environmental Excellence - a testament to Michael's commitment to building robust, high-impact systems that organizations and communities can rely on every single day.
